and we made the deadline! Didn’t Mike do a good job?

  

When Mike gets Bored…

• he doesn’t read
• he doesn’t impulsively clean (unfortunately!)
• he doesn’t cook or bake

BUT

• he does work on cars
• he does wash cars
• he does build things
• he does tear things apart and make them look better
• and many more...

A few days ago Mike decided he was bored and decided it was high time to remodel the middle bathroom. It wasn’t bad or dysfunctional or anything – it was just from the 80’s. Out came the vanity, the ugly light fixture, the old towel bars etc. Then came the trip to Lowes. We bought new light fixtures and the accessories, but couldn’t decide on a vanity base. I didn’t really care for any of them and they were pricey so Mike decided to build the vanity.

After measuring a few times, drawing up a plan, and a trip to Home Depot Mike began building the vanity. He started building on Thursday and was done by Saturday. Then he stained and installed. At this point it is probably 75% of the way done – and it WILL be done by Saturday, thanks Kings for giving us a deadline!

Mike built some type of jig to put together the doors. I think they turned out great!

I love that after months the oleander are now blooming – as are several other shrubs and trees!
